Description
"The Despair and Woe of Charlie Brown." When I painted this image, I wanted the gloom and woe of depression in the gray clouds to feel as harsh as it would be if you were experiencing as Charlie Brown. Charlie Brown is painted in classic colors and is two-dimensional, flat the way someone would feel if they were depressed--the way Charlie Brown feels when his "stomach hurts." The feeling someone is meant to feel here is the lonliness and despair of someone who is manic depressant. Acrylic on canvasRelated content

And after The Peanuts Movie (2015), A friend of Charlie Brown, Maria, just wanted to feel even worse for herself than him.Β

Hiya, Bryan. Yep, acrylic paint on canvas. I really need to check this seeing as I'm almost 2 years since you posted. About to begin updating more often. I have a companion Lucy I need to post up soon, too.
