I would not recomment tracing the snes sprites to make them 8-bit, look how tall Hoy Quarlow turned out.

In the Punch out the sprites are very unbalanced in size, an example would be king hippo, in Nes a dwarf instead on the wii is a giant, so the truth would not give much importance to the size (in fact, i Reduce the size of hoy Quarlow considerably)
