Back when it was just Pokémon Blue and Red, I was a total Pokemon nut. I actually had a full Pokédex, including a Mew. My 3 Mewtwos struck fear in the heart of every Gym Leader. Just when I was about to continue my onslaught in Pokémon Gold... my cousin saved over my save file. My chances of defeating the 2nd Mewtwo in Stadium... gone.I got over it eventually, but the Pokémon bug stayed with me. I started to make a fan game, in which I tried to incorporate the one thing I wanted to see in a Pokémon game. More differences between versions. An actual difference in story between versions, not a fake one like team Aqua/Magma, an actual rivalry between the trainers themselves.
Anyway, this is what I came up with eventually:
Shirley, a girl who is initially afraid of Pokémon, but learns to conquer her fear in order to change the world.
Protagonist from Pokémon Light
Cray, A rookie from Team Shadow, the equivalent of Team Rocket in their world. He begins to question whether his faith in his Team is justified.
Protagonist from Pokémon Dark

I like the idea and the designs are pretty nice. Also it's interesting that the girl is afraid of Pokémon.

Wow thats quite cool is the character from the other game your rival or would there be someone else who's a real baddass like maybe someone who is confident with pokemon and always bully's shirley and an member of team shadow who wants to bring cray down. (I probably made an idiot of myself but oh well)

Well, they'd start out as rivals of sorts, but that role would go to someone else later on. In Cray's case that would be his captain, while Shirley would help Pikagirl with her cause...

I would so buy this game if it existed. Shirley looks better than most of the female Protagonists in pokemon. I love how you got the characrtes to look official-looking. The style looks just lke Sugimori's.= D

I like that idea. Maybe they could come up with set of games like that, but also with three story modes in it.

Sort of like that Shadow the Hedgehog game, have it so that you as a trainer can decide whether to actually BECOME part of the bad team, or go full out against them.

I thought about that too, but I want to emphasize the difference between the 2 versions. If you put both storie modes on both cartridges, it would still be practically the same game on both cartridges.

play Pokemon Light
or they could combine the 2... but keep the difference in trainer and overall quest.
