I only just rediscovered this show (funny how you can completely forget about stuff you watched as a kid, only to stumble across it and be flooded with memories of it). The weird thing is... much like Matt-Thermo, I'm pretty sure I only watched it because I had this weird crush on Shrieky. I guess I had a thing for sinister purple-haired girls with screechy voices when I was 4 (I think that was how old I was).

You're not the only one. Shreeky was the only reason I really watched the show. Never mind that, to my young mind, she was a pretty girl--which she was/is, despite her yelling, which I am sure someone had to get used to, since she's No Heart's neice, which itself proves that she had to have had parents to birth her, surely a screaming event in itself, given how loud normal infants can be (and by the time she had joined uncle No Heart, she was an adolesant)--because, really, the comedy betweenΒ her and Beastly, as much as he loathed being demoted to being her assistant, made for many quite the funny scenario in their attempts to squash the Care Bears' ability to...well...care.

I hate to admit this, but when I was little I only watched "Care Bears" because I had this really wierd crush on Shrieky.
I think the show could use a reboot, but only if she looks like this.

Don't worry. Most boys---and some girls--who were saddlebagged with the show watched it because of Shreeky. Not just because she was a pretty girl, but also because the comedy duo of her and Beastly made for some humor in an otherwise bland program.
