Description
This is a piece I contributed to a group show at Art Attack SF themed around, what else, but COMICS! With an exclamation point! POW! I wanted something a little different than what I normally do so I set about making more supernatural versions of Batman's most famous female foes. I have a much more in-depth description over on my tumblr , which you should followI'm really happy with how it turned out. Ivy is my Earth mother goddess elfin she witch, Harley was going to go more zombie-ish but I ended up embracing more of her marionette/puppet harlequin side, and Catwoman was inspired by Egyptian statues of cats. I really think this version of her would look amazing as a real costume for her (a bit of Cass Cain's Batgirl up in that face) and I think I'm going to explore this look more for her. Let me know what you guys think! I'm a fool for critiques.

I dig these designs! Their inspiration and the thought that went in to them just makes them that much better. Ivy's hair/leaves make for a perfect backdrop.

I love your concept of Bastet!Selina. It's so much more artistic and original than the unzip-her-down-to-her-stomach and huge-ugly-goggles look that the comics seem to be going after.

I'm for an Egyptian cat woman! But I'd want to avoid cultural appropriation- maybe if Selena Kyle was written/drawn as actually Egyptian and not white?

I love your take on each of them! I think you should draw all of them again at least one more time!! I can't decide which one is my favorite because they're all so clever! I like how Ivy is nude, but less sexualized than I've ever seen her and she looks way more powerful here. I've always been a Harley fan and this zombie marionette thing is the coooolest idea ever. But that catwoman costume is so bad ass and gorgeous--the collar is perfect. Amazing job as usual! Definitely hope to see more of this

This is what is great about devientart seeing characters like these Sirens being reinterpreted in widely different styles. Also love the design for catwoman please take another stab at it.

This is absolutely brilliant! I love how different these interpretations of the famous Gotham sirens is. Catwoman's is perfect beyond belief. Harley's is so different and yet still so her. And Ivy is amazing. I am stunned by this beautiful piece of art

I adore your take on Cat woman!!! Very clever linking the costume details to ancient Egypt, they worshiped cats after all! Really beautiful!

These are stunning. I definitely agree that the contrast between Ivy's sharp face/fingers and full figure is wonderful. And the marionette approach to Harley is brilliant. And to throw in Catwoman's Egyptian-inspired outtift is genius.
How can you critique something so perfect?!

I totally like the Β designs and truth be told Harley is scary just as she was supposed to be! I love the catwoman design and would like to see her more like this! Ivy is truly a mother nature, what she should have been instead of the supermodel green painted on (not that I hate her comic versions but yours make so much more sense)

Always enjoy your interpretation of the classic super-hero/heroine characters, but I think this is my favorite to date! It's very beautiful and shows a perspective I never thought of before with these three.

It's refreshing to see a take on Poison Ivy in which she looks so plausible; The full belly and soft arms soft arms look very realistic (and also make a great foul to her talon-like fingers and pointed chin). My one small critique would be that her face shape and facial features don't quite match up... as if her individual features were meant for a different angle.
Also, great Catwoman! Very cool to that you took inspiration from Bastet, the Egyptian cat goddess... it really adds to her air of mystery.

I hate when that happens! I've done so many pieces where there's one little thing off, but the rest is so perfect that I don't have the heart to scrap it (not saying your Ivy should be scrapped- just saying I get where you're coming from).
