I don't know how many covers Jeanine Schaefer is in charge of over at Marvel but she is AMAZING to work with. I really can't say enough good things about how awesome it's been collaborating with her on the (very few) covers I've done at this point. I came up with the idea of She-Hulk slyly slipping through a hole in a wall of her own silhouette and we ran with it after very few revisions. The idea of a civilian dressed Jennifer literally coming out of a very heroic-ly posed She-Hulk fit in nicely with the themes they're trying to explore in the new She-Hulk relaunch. Balancing life as a citizen with life as a super hero. Trying to come out of the shadow of your alter ego. Work life, life life, live life. All sortsa things. I can't wait for this journey to get goin'!Related content

I've only read one issue so far but I loved it. And after a week of begging my mom finally read it and liked it. And she NEVER reads comics. So thank you everyone who was on this run for a wonderful memory of my mom reading this comic. She may even start reading the rest of the run, but who knows...........

I just read this ENTIRE series and it's awesome from cover to cover. I passed on some variants because your covers were so much better and to preserve the integrity of the run.

I'm so happy to have found you, the artist of the new She-Hulk series cover art. It was because of your style I immediately picked it up. I was a bit sadden that the whole comic isn't in this style, to then realize you only did the cover art. I still enjoy the series and look forward to more issues/comics with your art on the front. When I first glanced at this, my initial reaction is that "this isn't the style of art that I like", but then I LOOKED at it. And I wanted to kick myself for being such a pinhead.
This is EXACTLY the kind of thing I like because it's awesome. From the little details like the runs in her hose to the composition of the piece: her stepping out of her heroic silhouette, the shape of the silhouette, and the expression on her face.... It's just amazing. And the homage to the fact that She-Hulk used to break the fourth wall all the time. All well done.
This is all great art.
And I can't wait for the new comic to come out.

Love this piece, Kevin - great concept and wonderful execution. I'd seen it in the solicits but didn't realize it was yours. I haven't worked with Jeanine directly, but I've heard she's great from some of the other editors - I remember my wife had a great conversation with her after the Women of Marvel panel at NYCC some time ago. Best of luck - hope to see more of your work at Marvel in the future.

This cover is freaking great. It totally removes the memory of She-Hulk in Hulk Agents of SMASH from my eyes. I love it when Jennifer lawyers it up. Hell, your art alone, I'll pick up this relaunch issue.
