Description
A beloved cannot ever escape the love that pursues them. Reject it, run from it, deny it, try to deafen it with the false love of another, but the love will remain. The lie of unworthiness is a curse, but you are loved regardless. False love possesses. Real love frees. But some spend a lifetime running...I'm not sure why I'm posting these tonight at 4:21AM but I guess I've been thinking alot about Gomer. I wish she had a better name and I don't have to time to go through the story, but it can be read in the book of Hosea.
And this is Lauren. We didn't start by shooting the story of Hosea and Gomer, but as soon as I had her run that's who she became. I may turn this into an actual piece but for now, this is my starting vision of her and that story.

This is absolutely beautiful, in a hauntingly lovely way. The colors, set up, and subject all work so wonderfully! And although I do not not Gomer's story, I really want to look it up now!

this is beautiful...i look forward to seeing it finished as only you can do...
their story, so poignant and powerful...the mirror of God's love for us...always pursuing, purchasing us out of captivity and at what a price...
"How can I give you up? How can I let you go?
I will not leave you desolate.
My heart is transformed in me and I burn to comfort you.
I harbor no desire to overwhelm you.
I will not approach you in anger, for I am wholly unlike you.
When I shout for you, then you will fly from afar, trembling like a little bird, wings fluttering. From the wilderness you will come home at last"
(Hosea 11:8-11)

THAT'S the quote I was looking for....thank you! And thank you for your thoughts. Had I not been so tired I would have posted that instead of some semi-insipid thought.
She's in the queue...I'm a little overwhelmed by what needs to get done over the next few months...
