Description A tribute to Etienne. His 2D version is located at www.daddyshere.com/etienne.htm…

I posted this, this morning but I received a harsh critic for it that got me a bit depressed. I eventually shook the feeling off and made some of the changes that was suggested but not all. I am not a professional but I do try to make my work as good as I can. I am just a hobbyist and do this just for the fun because I love doing it. I don’t think any of my renders are perfect but I do try to improve on it. Because I am my biggest critic. Thanks however for your critic. I don’t want to mention a name but thank you.

Hope you like my version.

I think you've done a terrific job.  Besides, most artists stay away from bondage themes.  It takes some real creativity to pull it off.  Little things make a bondage drawing powerful.  The onlooker and his sinister smile is a case in point.  The captive knows that his bound body elicits lascivious looks and thoughts from onlookers.  He is also aware that at some point, he will be taken from his little cage-like cell to face whatever his captor has in store for him.  He knows that whatever it is, he will not like it.

Ah, nothing like a good bondage scene to lift one's spirits! Love the expression the one chained up is making! I wonder what's going to happen to him, I hope he enjoys it!

First I want to say that I enjoy just about all the work that you do. I find you are kind enough to respond to just about everybody who comments to you. Not every artist here responds back to comments, but you take the time to do that and that adds to your 'personality' as an artist here. I might not comment or like every single thing that you do, but I would never say anything to any artist that would belittle or diminish their nature.

There are people who don't have much of a 'filter' when it comes to commenting on someone's art. Of course, there are people here who are more practiced at art than others. That does not give them any reason to judge any persons work here. The very first thing as far as criticism goes is that unless you have something constructive to say in a constructive manner that is helpful and not childishly snide then do not say anything at all and just move on. But then you have those who think they are being constructive and helpful but the words that they choose are counterproductive and full of negativity. Again, if you do not have anything nice to say then don't say anything and just move along.

All the way down at the bottom of every page here at DA there is a dark band. One of the words to click on in that dark band is the word "Etiquette". If anyone were to click on that word they would find out what is acceptable here as far as any criticism goes. Don't be snarky and talk down to anybody. Be polite and helpful, or 'note' if you must, or just move on.

You are so welcome.
One of the hard things about criticism is that it's hard to shake it off sometimes.
You are a good talented guy so try not to let them get you down.
