I liked the sily ones, like Supergirl vs. The Superman Emergency Squad. Classic.

I liked both, it was fun to read things like the Teen Titans vs the Mad Mod and it was great to read stories like the coming of Galactus or the Sun Eater Saga.

Oh, Mad Mod. I love that guy. And the Sun Eater and the ensuing fate of Ferro Lad was just great storytelling.

I was "What the?!" when I finished the Mad Mod story, but in a good way
It's hard to describe the impact of Ferro Lad's death today, when every hero already died (and was resurrected) about 435 times. The guy died in a very shocking way and stayed dead since. His death shown us most of the Legionnaires were mortal in a sense the JLA or the Avengers weren't. And Jim Shooter was just a teen when he wrote this...

I have to agree with you. One of the fun parts of the super-hero genre is the ability of the hero to overcome any obstacle, just to have to fight a bigger one next time.

In the classic stories Superboy liked to be with the Legionnaires to be free of all the secret id restrictions and to be able to have super powered fun with them. I always liked the way teen super groups like the Titans and the Legion had the "family"/"best friends" vibe, unlike the "elite of pros" style of the JLA or the Avengers. So, if I was Superboy I would be sure to spend a lot of time with the Legionnaires.

yeah for sure I would do the same. Be with other superpowerful guys is a good way to live a life. so everybody could talk about powers, how to use them and maybe date with guys with powers is better and the only way to not hurt etc.
