Superman isn't the only adventure/sci-fi character who got a landmark this year, Dr. Who is celebrating his 50th anniversary and the Legion of Super-Heroes is turning 55.Everything started with Adventure Comics 247, 1958, when Cosmic Boy, Lightning Boy (later Lightning Lad) and Saturn Girl guest starred in a Superboy story.
In their long story some Legionnaires died, got married (this was way before Dan Didio outlawed wedding), were erased, rebooted, rebooted again, but in the core, they always were the Legion of Super-Heroes.

I honestly cannot recall. Do they go from the rocket-ship "Club House" to the giant orange monolith tower, or was there one in-between..?
The monolith tower with the huge "L" on the front is the one I grew up with. And then of-course the gunmetal-blue floating citadel done by Brainy and Computo.

The orange skyscrapper, with the "L" symbol was the second headquarters, and it was the Legionnaires home when I started to read comics, so this one is special to me.

i always liked the this one, i hated the way they did the legion in '93
and the rebooted, they just destroy the legion....only a few left who know there whole story...........
