I understand the confusion of people reading this, and on it's own it can be quite deceiving. Even in my church there are jokes about becoming a super-hero and such. As with all verses, the context is crucial in understanding the passage properly. Philippines 4:13 is written in a letter to the church in Philippi by the apostle Paul while he was a prisoner in Rome. When he writes "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me." (KJV) He isn't referring to the physically impossible such as jumping off a building and trying to fly without use of a jet pack, or touching one's tongue to their elbow. What Paul is putting forward in Philippians is the subject of circumstance. Though he is in the bleakest of situations, in the prison of a kingdom of great persecution towards Christians under the threat of execution, he has no fear in him. He writes, telling of how he continues to "rejoice in the LORD greatly..." (Phil 4:10 KJV), explaining that he has learned that no matter what events he may find himself facing he has been "...instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." (Phil 4:12 KJV) so that in all situations, even facing the chance of deathΒ Β "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me."

It makes perfect sense, if you are able to look beyond what it really says.

YES I KNOW it doesn't take an atheist to understand that Christians love Jesus but why is it spelt "A ll things" when it should be worded "I can do a LOT OF things"Β

OH! I think I see where you are coming from.Β
No, it is suppose to be "all", but the amount of letters this person put on that line reached it's max, so "ll" is on the other line.
But the scripture does says, and means to say, all things.
If I did not answer your question, then I have no idea what you meant, and I am very sorry lol

Ah, oh well XD But, we can do all things that are important through Christ ^-^ Obviously, we can't fly or anything, but who said we have to fly to please him?Β

It would be interesting to see someone put this into practical use, instead of only saying it.
