Aurora was excited to play the game, she even has a slight edge: she knows the surgeon well and hence is aware of how much isn't actually random about the game. Aurora is fully aware of the penalty for losing, (or prize, to her) but is okay with being disabled for the rest of her life and is really hoping that she ends up as a triple amputee: DSD and LHD.
The colored lightning bolts mark the starting position and checkpoints.
