Description

While drawing the elderly figures, I focused on balancing the complicated details of their face with large simple shadow shapes.
The hardest part about this process was actually drawing the beard. The beard of the old man on the left required very minimal details to maintain the white color, and some parts of the beard didn’t follow the flow which presented a challenge for me. Whereas the middle old man was the most difficult to draw because his beard was very thin, and so it was very detailed.
