Hi, where did you find that Flat Firefox Theme? I try to look for one but seems impossible...

That's jsut the way it looked with the GTK theme. The tab bar used the theme's menubar color, and the address bar used the toolbar look.

It seems I cannot change Firefox to be completely flat when using dark colors in toolbar, like #000000. Try changinb bg_color and see what happens with Firefox. Damn, how do I get rid of that "shading-colors"...

I don't, but it was just a modified Numix GTK2 theme, so you can go from there (I only changed a few colors).
Alternatively, try FxOpera: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef…

Do you have the GTK theme available? I need to know how to control Firefox widgets please.

Hey kexolino! Why are you using Debian? Why not using Arch? Is there a difference for you? I'm always using Arch, so i want to learn what you think about it.

I guess partly because I started out with Ubuntu, and Debian was just a natural progression. I'm just more comfortable with apt-get + aptitude than pacman (apt-get for general package management and upgrades, aptitude for searching and viewing packages), and I'm more familiar with Debian's ways as a whole...

I will say though, that I have aliases for both in my bashrc, so let's say updating the system would be an update && dist-upgrade in both cases.

I run Stable most of the time cause I don't really feel like dealing with constant upgrades in Sid or Arch, and all the newer packages I need are in backports, but between Sid and Arch I like Arch better. It just seems more stable and easier to manage (in Sid, the day-to-day library updates are a PITA in my opinion).

Understand. But installing program in Debian is hell. I tried to install steam but i couldn't so installed a custom package for it which i don't trust. Also i searched for popcorn time but there is nothing for debian. All programs for ubuntu or arch or rpm distros. And installing bumblebee is easier than debian. But i understand you, you just like stability.

If you trust packages from the AUR then you shouldn't have problems trusting third party packages for Debian
Steam is in Sid's repos, otherwise there's Steam Debian, and Popcorn Time's PPA works with Debian.
Bumblebee I have no experience with, but I'll hand it to Arch, they handle graphics drivers pretty damn well.

You are right but at least i can look at pkgbuilds for aur packages.
None of debian users suggesting ppas for debian, so i never tried ppas on debian.

kexolino In reply to leoatelier [2014-06-07 10:08:30 +0000 UTC]

Yep, here you go: www.dropbox.com/s/k4rwexuja739…

It only contains the GTK2 and OB themes though, and it's based on an older version of Numix (the one that had the GTK 3.4 part).

Yeah, Terminus might not be the prettiest, but I've been using it for so long, I don't notice..
