Wow! For a first time, this is awesome! Great job with keeping your volumes and limbs consistent-- that's stuff that's easy to lose track of. This looks better than half of my class's walks-- and that was after 6 weeks prior training! Keep on working this!

...so mind if I throw some critique?

No?

Good!

First, check your frame-rate. An average, brisk step takes half a second-- so 12 frames (6 on twos, 15 if you're animating 30fps). I know this is just a test, but I don't think you have that many, and it's looking a little choppy. Watch out on the arm rotations, too-- they alternate counter to their respective legs, and it looks better if you delay their extreme positions by a couple frames.

Also, don't be afraid to push your subject up a little higher and down a little lower inbetween your keys and your passing positions. It's animation! Even realistic styles benefit from a little exaggeration.

Finally, this is self taught, right? Go out and buy "The Animator's Survival Handbook". It's the best book in the world on animation, and it'll really help you hone your own skills.

So great job! Keep up the good work!

THANKS!
Yeah, this is only 16 frames long, no in-betweening, so it's super duper fast. She's the speed-walking master!
I wasn't really trying for any professionalism.
yeah, and I noticed the lack of bounce, but I didn't really feel the need to go back through and redo it... since I honestly didn't care that much.

BUT THANKS FOR THE CRITIQUE! I'll keep alot of that in mind when I do other animations! ^_^
