Dante truly looks like something around 17-18 in this. In the game trailers though....Not so much.

This 'new' Dante doesn't deserved to exist, I'm sadden that Capcom decided to hand DMC over to Ninja Theory. They should of continued with DMC5, along with Nero, Vergil's return, and the original Dante. Though even the 'new' Dante's look is terrible, I'm still gonna give the plot a chance. Even if Capcom stated it's an origin story that doesn't explain why he has black hair instead of white. Maybe there is still hope for the DMC series. After viewing the DmC trailer a couple of more times, I suspect this person who calls himself Dante isn't really Dante and just thinks he is him. And maybe the 'real' Dante might actually appear in the DmC game. Who knows...

For the record, this is a reboot. DmC is more grungey than the previous entries, so Dante was rebooted too.

Im more on the side it would be an ok character design and game if it WAS ITS OWN game and not DMC. I just fell in love with the pale, silver haired, blue eyed devil lol

I'm with you. I didn't like it at all at first but slowly his new look grew on me and now I can't help but want to play the game and love Dante all over again.
I think the reason why I'm more critical on it is because DMC is my gaming muse of sorts. XD
