Some people say you see a light as you die
But I'm not worried about that
I have all the time in the world
My parents say I only have 4 years in high school to determine my future
But I'm not worried about that
4 years is a lot of time to use
My teachers are saying I'm behind on homework
But I'm not worried about that
I have got plenty of time to catch up
The seniors remind me to think about the future
But I'm not worried about that
I have got loads of time to decide
The final grading period is getting closer
But I'm not worried about that
I have still got time
The cars are traveling fast down this street
But I'm not worried about that
I do not have time to when I am almost late for school
I do not see the hulking vehicle as it slams against me
But I'm not worried about that
I wonder how much time I have until I bleed to death?
The paramedics that came for me are talking about broken bones and ruptured organs
But I'm not worried about that
I thought I had all the time in the world
The darkness consumes me when the unbearable pain hits
But I'm not worried about that
Will I be able to wake up in time for graduation?
I feel like I'm fading
But I'm not worried about that
Wasn't a bright light supposed to appear when my time came?
I'm in a land of endless gray
But I'm not worried about that
Where was the timeless existence of happy white? Or the endless pit of burning cold black?
I am suffering. I am in pain.
But I'm not worried about that
When will my time in here end, so I can ascend?
The punishment feels like forever, then, suddenly I'm awake
But I'm not worried about that
Why would He give me more time?
My parents ask me about how I feel
But I'm not worried about that
How much time do I really have left?
The doctors say that I'll be out of the hospital in a few weeks
And I'm worried about that
I can't waste time when I never know what day is my last.
