Russel and Fletcher! I never see much love for these two, which is a shame - since they're great (Fletcher! He's like a cute wimpy version of Alphonse! *squish*)I also think Ed tends to be throwing a moody fit in almost all my comics he's in...luckly, that's Ed's personality, so I get away with it. XD And yes...the bean! It's due to the whole Tringham = Floral Alchemists. Ha...get it? Plant gift from them? Fletcher thought it was a cute idea...at first.
And Ed will look for any excuse to throw a pot on Russel's head. Yup.

I haven't gotten to the part where those two showed up in the manga yet, though, so I have no idea what some people are talking about...

Russel and Fletcher don't show up in the manga. They first appeared in the first FMA Novel 'Land of Sand' (which was based on the manga) and then that story was translated into a 2-part episodes in the anime (they also show up towards the anime end as well briefly).

I just remember seeing the art in the FullMetal Alchemist artbook that I got a few months ago and just assumed they were in the manga for some reason...

Well, she DID actually design the Elric brothers for the book (she does some illustraitions for the Novel) - you'll also notice that the first two novel covers are also in the art book as well.

Wasn't it started in the back of one of the earlier volumes as a promotion for a written novel? You're best watching it in the show, in my opinion. Then again, I only read the five pages in the back. Also, I love your signature!! XD
