Description
One image from a chibi Calendar I am making to sell on Deviant Art. The Calendar will feature all 8 of my element goddess' (From my manga) for each month - plus four new goddess who are made for the calendar only. Once complete, the Calendar will be on sale at DA as well as individual prints of each girl which will be up once they've been submitted.This is Laini, goddess of Crystal. Representing the month of: May.
Here's the second of the four new goddess' for the Calendar. While Crystal doesn't really fit into an element (gimmie a break! I was running out. XD) - it did seem like something fitting that I could use. She was also the first of the 'new' goddess' that I designed and like Moho, the goddess of Steel, has two major colours to her design instead of just one (baby blue and baby pink)
Want to know a little more about her? here's some facts:
* She's the most fragile of all the goddess', she's very weak and not exactly athletic
* There's no relation between her, Zuri or any of Zuri's sisters. She is, however, related to her cousins (Rosa, Rai ect)
* She adores Moho (Steel goddess), who doesn't return her feelings. She still follows her around all the time, though.
* Laini is very, very shy.
* She has the shortest hair out of all the goddess'
* She has a thing for dancing - making her get along really well with Kowhai.

although i do love the drawing, i must ask
what makes a tarus(a bull) copare to this fragile crystal? tarus are suppose to be extremmely stubborn and are an earthelement, so i do understand the earth element part, but fragile is not somthing i would compare with a bull

The calendar doesn't always connect up with a star-sign. I have different reasons for each month. Don't forget that there's usually two starsigns in a month, not just one. I also base them around the monthly season that I get here in NZ (not in places like the US, which is different to us). And sometimes it just comes down to simple things. In this case, one of my close friend's birthdays is in May, and this was her fave of the girls, so I added her to this month for my friend. :3

I like this one a lot too. It's also for the same month as my birthday. 
One suggestion...
Save your deviations as a PNG file if they have negative space. Then you don't need to worry about dA always changing their background color everytime a new site layout comes into effect.

I don't actually keep the BG colour for the DA BG colour scheme any more. I discovered during the old colours of DA, that I really like the light grey that they used - as it helps take away the harsh white of the image that can overpower the character, yet isn't strong enough that it takes over too much of the image itself. It's a great, soild BG colour, actually.

I'm not very athletic either too boot. Something to do with my lopsided vision (that cannot be corrected with glasses) and bad hand-eye coordination.

She's awfully pretty, I really like the character design (that skirt-y type of cloth looks great!) and the description makes her seem like a really sweet character!! Great job on her, she's lovely ^__^

I'd have to say that she's one of the prettiest goddesses of all.
I love the baby blues and pinks... it fits her perfectly, IMO, and really adds to the 'cute charm' that she posseses. ;D
Once again, you've made an insanely creative outfit design (something I could never even hope to acheive. x_x ) that I just adore.
I really hope that you make lots of money on the calendar after it's complete. It really is adorable. Your chibis capture my heart time and time again.

She's so cute. ;D I really like her element, actually. o_o It's not one you'd think of right of the bat. It's surprising so it's original. n_n Very cool. (Because Steel is kinda like Metal, which is supposedly one of the five elements where usually people have four. It's this whole thing that ties into Chinese stuff that I used to be really into a few years ago and we even created this whole RP around it. XD)
