Please for the love of all that is good and holy FULL VIEW!Lookit, Alex! I finally finished it!
Part of me utterly adores this picture, and part of me feels like I could have done better, which is a very nasty feeling to have.
It's the Background's fault, to be honest. I had Jing and the chains planed and done, and once I started working on it, I realised if I did it ALL bricks, there would be so much tiny detail in the BG, that it would actually pull Jing in, and make him harder to see (I figured the chains were already alot of work). So in the end, I only did them partly (you know? How some buildings have brick/stone layers like that, but stop at a certain point?
It's a prison anyways. Like they really care how perfect their walls look. Nya!
Partly inspired by the last image used during the ending Credits of 'King of Bandit: Jing' anime, partly from a tiny thought in the back of my mind that wanted to draw a pic with that much detail in the forground...and partly because I knew I'd get bonous points from a certain friend for doing it.
Yes, I'm a geek...but I love to make my friends happy.
Jing's got a Key in his mouth...had a hard time getting that to look right, but couldn't get much better than that. Yup, it fits that giant padlock around the chains.
Highlights on the chains = NIGHTMARE.
And that is all. Happy is I.

Oh well, it obviously took some effort to get the key in the first place.. I'm sure he'll manage.

Omg, SO fucking gorgeous! <3 Jings face is so handsome/adorable, and I love how hes holding the key in his mouth! The chains, omfg. WONDERFUL <3 So much amazing details on them! I rather like the bg, with the stones :3 Awsomeawsome! Plus the pose is wonderful and so is the shading/highlighting on his coat!

NEwho, the jacket's to die for, I love the chunky folds. Chains are the devil, as are bricks. But perhaps you could've had the chains fade into suggestive nothingness (hopefully that made sense e_e ) instead of halting them so suddenly? It looks as if the bricks are plastered into a coffee-cream silk :3;;; Not necessarily a bad thing, but wanted to point it out....for some reason o.O;;

I guess it's because of the black since black and orange make good Halloween colors and all, plus the orange fits well with the tan BG. So, being a thief, I assume he'll be out of there in two shakes of a Jing's tail....lol, I kill meself...wait, no I don't.

I think the background works well like that ^^ it was smart of you to leave the upper part empty of bricks because now you see more of Jing and the chains, it would have all melted together otherwise ^^
I love it that you snuck in that key in the picture and that Jing has it between his teetch
and all of the folds are just wicked ^^ the shades on them really brings him out, and the chains looked like hard work lol, i know that chains can get boring to draw after a while

Chains are tricky to do - I think we have ALL been there o_O;;;
Anyhow, not too familiar with the movie but this image still looks strongly done - nice and simple way to break out... just stretch your head forward and bite on teh key.
Color scheme also works well, adding to the angry tones of Jing and teh cell together. Yet, I still wonder how in heck you can color with markers as fluent as THAT! O.O

I must agree with the BG, it somehows get too much attention instead of the character. However, itΒ΄s nicely drawn and colored. The bricks are detailed, and I like the color of the sky in the BG.
