Thrilled with the original...semi-okay with the scan (hmm...I guess) but overall, just feeling squishy seeing these two together in whatever form. Torn/Ashelin fluff makes my day - and I always enjoy colouring Ashelin's dreads,mixing the reds all together and such.
Poor Torn - The guy looks so worried (as said before, I think he's scared she's gonna try slipping him into one of them monkey suits. XD Run, Tornie! Run!)

Their eyes are so stunning. I love them. Heheh...The hair...I want to touch. Besides the obvious two, I love that rose in the top left. It's wonderfully drawn and fits the mood of the picture perfectly!

Eeeh, the skecth and the ink was nifty, but nothing is like good ol' Kai-coloring.
And yes you are right, they do make a lovely couple (Whyyy did they have to split up, whyyy? ;O; ). The first thing that really hit me, was the greyscale background you have added to this wonderful piece. :3 I love the whole prom theme, it fits the title nicely (Naaah, I bet that was not what Kai was thinking when she made this Marit?! ). Torn is really my fav in the picture, I just love his expression (Yes he DOES look worried, I bet he doesn't like monk suits much.. XD;; ). Ashelin looks very lovely, I've always loved how you draw her (I can't draw her for shit .__. ). Her lips and expression looks very neat, and I adore how you do her dreads. X3 They just look so... thick and solid, yet soft somehow. <3
And ofcourse, your coloring rocks DA to the ground, nothing beats Kai coloring.

K... not too sure if I've pointed this out in previous Asheline piccus, but I adore how her nails show through the gloves. 
Torn's mug just wins me over every time I glance over this and scroll back up... he be all "Uuuuuh, naaaaah..." and sort of out of it. Well, it's not like she isn't capable of making him look out of it, so... x3 it's pure gold. Lovely blending on the browns in his hair, and argh, both their tatts are blendi-loff. <3
And indeedy, sucha gorgeous composition - the B&W in the bg works wonderfully. ;3

As always, love the blendings with the colors AND whites to bring out the highlights. The gray monochrome ballroom in the background is a nice touch, too. How on earth you ever draw that rose, I will never know... Lovely!
