Description Now tell me, if this passiflora flower is NOT designed...

Tell me, that this flower is just another form of "coincidentally formed plant"

Not of course, mentioning its medicinal powers...

C'mon...

Isn't this a proof for belief?

Thank you for full viewing...

thanks so much for the name - I went to the garden the other day and they did not have a plaque for this same species, my friend told me it was a cousin of the passion fruit
I have a pix of one - [link] of course not as good as urs.., you captured the colors perfectly..

All the parts of the flower serve a purpose. I can't stand those who'd use the natural world to forward a religous belief or connotation. Especially when they use an idea that has absolutley no scientific credability. I have faith. But I also trust in the facts that are given by science. Those who cannot believe in both, are both blind and fools

Enough of that. I love the shot. vignetting is done well.

Thank you for everything you wrote..

First of all, I did not want to forward a religious belief. I just wanted to forward the concept of "belief", "faith"... All alone. Science, can explain every purpose and part of this flower in detail... What they are made of, their life cycle, their produce, etc... But Science can not even come close to telling me why this flower exists. Why it looks like an ultra-modern piece of machinery, which is most perfectly packed to open and close without even a slight damage to all its complex form... Science cannot construct Humanity a flower, even if it uses all means in the Nature... Science can not even tell me the concept of "Space". Where we are... (Where is Space? Where is the container that holds Space within? And where is the one which holds that? etc... ) If Science can not answer these issues, then Science can only admire and analyse the beauty and complexity and huge size of everything that exists around us, with an agnostic belief and faith in God, in my opinon...

What is around us, in extremes, is beyond Science's comprehension. It is not beyond the comprehension of "faith"... Science, must serve faith... They must not fight... I respect Science... But Science must respect Faith, too...

I can attempt to explain how and why the flower / plant came to be this way. But without knowing the specifics of environment, nutrient needs and life cycle of the plant, I wont attempt. But anyway, is the sole purpose of a flower to reproduce? And if you look at how plants do it, attracting birds / insects to feed on them and take thier pollen to different flowers (hopefully of the same species). To do this attraction, flowers need to be beuatiful and unique. This is just that plants way of doing it.

As for you concept of space. Is it so hard to believe that space is infinite? That space is everywhere, outside our atmosphere, inbetween protons and neutons in the atom. Inbetween the quarks that make up those protons and neutrons. Where ever there is the absence of matter there is space for matter.

I'm glad you have this respect for science, because it is rare these days to find people that have a repspect for both science and faith. But for some people to close their minds to science, with a prefernce to faith. It's just plain wrong. Faith must also repect Science

Faith and science definitely go hand in hand. I actually did my thesis in college on this very subject. Wonderful piece by the way. That flower has always intrigued me too...
