perhaps but on my world that thing its a temple monk priest tainted by the "oil" spilled from the original one... creepy!

I think that 'oil' is really rotting blood... Geez, can you imagine the stench? A dragonator harpoon(that thing that shoots through its back) didn't even faze it...

yeah and how a dragonator come.. stick on it back? and inside it its pure flame.... brrrzzzz ill upload the transformation sequence of the priest-monk and well see...

Whatever that thing is, it's not natural... I will leave it at that. How'd the monk come into contact with its blood?

Ancient monks recolected the "oil" from the original one from a long ago battle against the thing...
(ok on my world) then in the deeps of certain temple the oil burst and moves waiting for a suitable.. errr... host, then when the hand of the chosen one monk priest cleric (male or female) enter in contact with the oil a terrible and painful transformation get succes...
Curiosly when someone its not the chosen one, the oil devour via acidic touch and torment agony leaving only a puddle of melt flesh and dark juices... and before the astonished eyes of the other members of the clan... the bursting and bubbling oil retreats to its vessel like a giant amoeba, then lay dormant bubbling and oozing until a new choosed one comes...
The other priests decorate the temple with some oversized and crafted versions of dragonators but only are decorations... in some point a group of the priests monks bring one, specially handmade crafted dragonator (crafted from bone metal and rare materials) in mid of the terrible transformation the piece its set on the back of the new one... the oils stick it firmly and pass to be part of the monster...
This is unnatural and the dragonator, the oil and the transformating priest monk fused togheter... and then grows and grows... but for complete this, every monk priest offer themself (both male and female) like energy source via comsuption... burned, scharred or eaten alive are the less suffering ones but those who are engulpfed in the body oil...
When all the members are consumed and the temple is too small for the monster... it began devoring walls colums and destroy the temple itself... leaving only a little portion of the oil behind what retreats to the vessel... and wait and wait...
normally betwen those events many years passed out, the monster complete full grown dissapear or go dormant or whoknows where is the thing, so when nobody wait for it... the thing rampage a city! and appear a group of hunters... then appear too someone of the order wearing like a omen of bad augurs priestly monk cleric white robes... only renegade or surviving members of the order have scaped and recorded this, some theoryzes what the monster its looking for the members who was present on its encarnation but no one knows... for sure
