Description
An early assignment this year was to shoot two photos - One for the concept of "freedom" and one for the concept of "not freedom" (I guess they couldn't think of a word for "not freedom") This was my "anti-freedom" idea... Lee was drafted into WW2...Jesse would have gone to Vietnam if he hadn't been in college (or if the war had gone on longer) and ~Rothasco still has to register for the draft even now... (Thanks for modeling, ~Rothasco )see also: the "freedom" shot --> [link]

I really like how you took the assignment and made it something overly creative. It really fits with all that's going on.
Words can't explain. Really great, though.

I can relate. I got in by choice, and was almost at the end of my second contract, ready to move on in life, when....they decided to keep me as long as they like. Oh well. Enjoy the sudo-freedom. And thanks for paying your taxs, I need the tiny paycheck.

The draft is a scary thing but the new war doesn't give much opportunity for an effective draft. We are no longer throwing bodies at a beach, but instead trying hard to outwit, outthink, and anticipate the enemy. Those things require more training and dedication to the task then a draftee will ever have.

I'm not sure if it was intended (probably was) but I like the way their holding of the documents and the brick wall and their lining up side by side is reminiscent of a police line up or booking photos... so if that is indeed what was in your mind when creating the image... obviously full marks because you've done it well!
Ah the draft... don't have it here... but know of it... I know the "price of freedom is eternal vigilance" but surely "forcing" someone into an army is not exactly a great way of promoting the idea of peace. Sorry I know that's not really a comment on the photo... I'll shut up now

Whoa. That's amazing. What a great, great concept. I never in a million years would have thought of it, and I think it's amazing.
I love their faces. Great job.
