Rai Dei the Blade, #3 on my list of favorite GHGs. I love them and I don't no why...they're obsencely violent and it takes 13 of them (in the anime) to slow down one guy. I drew this just cause I really liked this one sketch of mine and wanted to finish it up...I think my coloring's getting better, which makes me happy.Not much to say about this, it's just a quick one night drawing done because I was looking through Trigun Max 2 too much. Line art done in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop. the color of his clothes are taken from the anime cause I didn't notice the colored pic on the back cover 'til I was almost done. I wish there was some more stuff to do with Rai Dei, he's cool...even though he's a filthy, scruffy, demon samurai on rollerskates...

Hmhmhmhmmmmm... My all time favorite Gung-ho Gun given life! Thank you so much for paying homage to him with this wonderful pic. Every detail is captured down to the last drop, from his cowboy vest, to the strands of his hair to the muscles on his body. Even then, how can you go wrong with a samurai who can deflect bullets with his sword and travel at supersonic speeds via rollerskates? It just doesn't get better than that, and you've managed to improve something already good.
Nice job here, and again, thank you for breathing life into my favorite GHG. Welcome to the list.

Gah. X.x I've been meaning to comment on this for like... 2 years, but I can never find a good chance to just sit down and actually type out a decent comment haha. This is just amazing- every time you do a picture I think to myself, 'well. now her coloring can't possibly get ANY better...' and it -always- does hahaha. His facial structure is just stunning... and the way the tip of his hair fades into the sky. Jeese. It makes me want to install my Illustrator onto my computer hahaha
And I have to agree with you... Rai Dei is probably 3rd on my GHG list as well. I mean... it depends I suppose, but I consider Wolfwood one... which would make him first... by a long shot [hhahahaha wouldn't have guessed that, hunh? X3] and Midvalley comes in second for me. It's tough though... because for some really strange reason I hold a love for Caine. But you know. Rai Dei's just a smidge more suave hahaha. Again, amazing job. Your work is always a treat to see.
