Why does nobody like me? *sigh*Out of all the starters, this water guy ("Mijumaru," possibly) seems to be getting the most flack. I think he's pretty cute, personally, and a fair interpretation of the sea otter as a PokΓ©mon. It doesn't look like a beaver or a weasel or Bidoof or wtf else to me, although I can see where the clown complaint is coming from.
I'm still seething over the grass starter being another reptile, though. Unless it evolves into a grass/flying archaeopteryx... Um... I won't like it as much?

Fine, I admit that you have made this thing grow on me. >> Maybe if its final evo is cool and Water/Ice (I love Water-Ice types!) I will end up using it, lolo. I will name it "Kheisa the Sea Tanuki". :3
Ah but lol i love the grass guy so much I will probably choose him anyway. But at least I don't hate Majimaru anymore.

First I thought you were the girl I had to convince that these were the official designs of the starters because of your avatar (she had a rotating one with the eeveelutions in it), but then I recognized your writing (isn't it weird how you can recognise people's typing voices?) and I was like "LOL HI PRINZ."
And then I read the rest of the post and then I saw the grouzzle (they're like mongozzles but cooler) (would you like a grouzzle avatar? I could make you one) in your gallery and was sure.
Heh, I'm not sure "Kheisa the Sea Tanuki" will fit, but whatever floats your boat (like ice! ice floats!)~ x3
I totally understand the love for the grass starter, though. I'd love it best myself if I didn't feel so bad for poor Mijumaru. D: I'm waiting for the final forms before making my final decision, though.

:3 I actually like all three of the starters. Though admitedly, I have no "vision" on what this guy will look like when he grows up... (mega-otter?) O. o

Ooh, mega-otter makes me think of those extinct ground sloths. Wouldn't it be cool if it grew into something that looked like those?

Mijumaru is cute, but it's still my least favorite out of the three.
I AGREE, I HOPE THE GRASS STARTER IS GRASS/FLYING ;__; But I love it anyway.

i actually am growing use to this little guy already. I feel bad that everybody hates him and he's barely out of the poke-womb XD
I just think the way they drew him turns most people off. I think that they could've added a smile on his face or a bit more color and shine to his eyes.
but anyway, you made him look ULTRA CUTE! and thanks to this i like him more

... Eeeeehhheheh, I'd probably cry if it evolved into a snowman thing. I think it has a lot of potential as far as sea otters and evolved forms go.

I have no real opinion of the starters as of yet. I typically base it on what there evolutions look like. I agree though that this one is very cute and was the one who caught my eye first.

i agree. he's really not thaaat bad. also, it's pretty clever how they made the design on his stomach look like a clam/shellfish, just like how real sea otters hold their marine meals on their bellies while floating on their backs. XD

Ironically, the shell is kind of what I dislike most about it-- unless they do something really cool with it in the evolutions. It seems to me a very heavy-handed way to say "look! i'm a sea otter! hey look!"... Although given the number of people who think it looks like a bear/Bidoof/beaver, evidently heavy-handed isn't heavy enough. xD
As heavy-handed as it is, though, I agree that it's nice they incorporated part of the sea otter's eating habits onto the design. :3
