But I'm really likin' the new Xyrrus. And there aren't many half-mecha/metal-infused dragons around so he's rather unique~
I can't give much backstory right now cuz it might have spoilers. D:

Neat design. Yeah, metal can be fun to color too. I have one beasty that is half robotics and half covered with skin, it is amusing to color. It is always neat to see a more sci-fi like dragon.

Yeah, I use to be bad at coloring metal too. Now I just want to go back and recolor some of my old drawings so they look more like real metal.
I can see technologically advanced dragon culture being quite fun to write. All of my wyvern species have a scientific or technological background since I love sci-fi settings. It will be neat to see more of your tech advance dragon culture. That one comic you did was interesting too.

God damn! I love his design! First of all, I adore the color scheme you have chosen <3! Plus the markings, so mysterious~! As I told you - metal tail = pure love <3 Plus the shading looks really good on metal parts! Yum! Also, wings! Never seen wings like these! They are 'demonic' (I call em like that xD) and have weathers! Not much, but few! Also, do I see some metal in the wings as well? O= Those green feathers really stand you :3 DELICIOUS!
Conclusion: Xyrrus is awesome character with great, unique design. WORD.

Thanks. <3 I stuck with his original color palette but I made the colors blend better, and I kept some of the original markings (like the shoulder marking, since I felt that it was a defining feature of his).

xD I'm loving the idea so far. So I've got this techno-magic world so far with dragons and humans. The two species rarely ever interact, with the dragons living in their own secluded little cities. There are no hostile feelings between the species, but the dragons feel it would be wise to stay away from humans so that they can maintain their segregated peace. But this one dragon thinks they could live with the humans peacefully, but his ideas are rejected so he just goes off on his own and many follow him (and the other dragons are like, WTFmate? since they've lived as a unified state for so long) and many conflicts break out between them, at first in an attempt to bring the renegades back, and then eventually to silence them. A great division forms between them, and the original state call themselves "the Yshnathrr" and the renegades call themselves "the Greywing Circle."
The greatest challenge, however, is that I want to make both factions sympathetic. I will have to switch POV's to do that, and I need to make both sides look reasonable and honorable. So we shall see how that goes. xD If you got suggestions, tell me! 8D
I really trust you, by the way, and that's why I told you this much of the story. ^^

Oh my God o3o! I love the story so far! It is so different, I mean, it doesn't start like all of them "ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS WAR FOR SOMETHING LULZ, NEAT HUH?"
And I really adore the idea of both sides being that way, I mean, in every story there are bad guys who wanna rule/destroy/revive evil thing and there are good guys who want freedom/live/stop reviving evil things. And yours, it is really good 8D
But which two factions do you want to change POV's with? The Greywings or the Yshnathrr? Or human and dragons? :'D
I can try suggest you some ideas, but some of them might be crazy and non-fitting, so bare with me XD!

Ahahaha! and the reason for the wars and killing usually go "THEY R ORCS AND ORCS ARE EVIL SO LETS KILL EM ALL." and that's another thing I'm focusing on in this story: the characters aren't on one side or the other just because of their race/species. They have personal reason to support either the Yshnathrr or the Greywings, whether they're dragons or humans. Some dragons believe in the traditional way (and dragons are reeeally resistant to change - especially if the old ways have caused no problems) so they are a member of the Yshnathrr. Some dragons think change is necessary for survival, so they join the Greywings. Some humans have even joined the Greywing Circle for their own reasons, and others support (but they can't join) the Yshnathrr because they think the dragons should keep to themselves. And even then there are still dragons and humans that are neutral for their own reasons as well. O: that was long
YesYesZOMG there's so many stories where it's good vs. evil and the end is always the same, getting there is the difference, etc. Like, it's always a guy that wants revenge, or unleash some sealed evil in a can, or kill for the lulz, or destroy the world (and, like, HIMSELF?) so yeah. I want to try a non-villain story. :> The antagonists are anti-villains [link] at worst, and they will even get their shining moment. and with POV switches, almost everyone will be portrayed as antagonists (but not villains) at one point.
Yeah, I will change between the Greywings and Yshnathrr mostly. I think it will help maintain the grey and grey morality of the story (instead of white and black) and I can develop intertwining subplots.

I'm such a TV Tropes addict. xD Most of their trope names are part of my daily vocab ("so I was reading this crappy book with Loads And Loads of Characters and they were all Cursed With Awesome and the main character was constantly holding the Idiot Ball..." etc xD)

Yep, I used that test too (well it's a different version but does the same thing.) I used to have a link to another really good one that had a break-down of what part of your character is Mary-Sue. Although I haven't used a test lately cuz I feel pretty comfortable with my own characterization.

Sooooooooo I took that test about Eqlipse (Verttigo)... I always get so stressed while doing tests like that 'cause I'm afraid she'll turn out Mary Sue-ish and I worked so hard developing her xD But in the end I've gotten this that she is not a Mary Sue (phew!) and ''Eqlipse is a healthy character with a promising career ahead of her.'' Woop!

I know how stressful it can be. xD But I always get good results, so I intentionally took that test with an old character of mine that was definitely a Gary-Stu and I got this this: "He is so impossibly hip that he has difficulty seeing over his own pelvis; he'll probably die young, but damn, will it have been a good life. He always knew he was special, destined for great things - and probably made sure everyone else knew it too."

ok the -original sorty- - So my -CHOSEN ONE-, whose name I forgot. xD Like, Zaurun or something, I DONT KNOW, he's living his life all normal, and then one night he's like HOLYSHIT THERES A BLACKHOLE AND CRAZY DEMONS RUNNING AROUND and it turns out the the blackhole is A PORTAL TO ANOTHER WORLD. And the demons kidnap him (I RETCONNED A REASON MUCH LATER) and then he pulls some magic out of his ass but the demons still kidnap him but the portal got fucked up so he ends up on the wrong world. Sounds good so far (plotwise) - BUT HERE HE FINDS HIS INNER GARY STU!! Yes, these two people called "Guardians" or something are all like, YOU'RE THE CHOSEN ONE, BRO and he's like LOLWUT and they like, YOU GOT MAGICAL POWERS NAO. YOU MUST SAVE THE WORLDS NAO. ONLY YOU!!! So he's all like, going world to world (they're all connected by portalllls) and saving every world. And whenever there's a crisis, HE'S THERE TO SAVE YOU!! AND GOOD WILL PREVAIL!!
Now, the demons! They're corrupted/lost/vengeful souls (I ACTUALLY HAD A NEAT CONCEPT GOING HERE) and they're all led by this one demon who's like, IM YOUR FATHER BITCH (YEAH I LOVED STAR WARS WHEN I WAS LITTLE xD) so GaryStu is like, HALF DEMON, HALF HUMAN, HALF SOMETHING ELSE (I seriously had like, 5 species or something IT WAS SO HORRIBLE PURGEITWITHFIRE). and ALSO ROYALTY, BUT HE DIDNT KNOW IT! SURPRISE!!
AND IT GETS WORSE.
LUCKILY I FORGOT MOST OF THE PLOT.
So eventually I look at this plot when I was 13 and I realize, This isn't good. >8( So I did the BIGGEST RETCON EVER and it kinda hurt because I was attached to the story. So I kept it similar but made it logical! And since I wouldn't know how to make the story work without GaryStu's powers, I let him keep them, but he can't use them. Ever. When the powers become activated, he's not the one controlling them LONG STORY ETC. And I gave the Big Bad Demon MOTIVATION and then something magical happened. My villain became sympathetic! I developed his background and everything! :'D and the wars being fought were more logical, and I... just started liking it more. xD It's still unpublishable in its current state, but I will often take ideas from it, polish them, and create a better story from them. The plot of Xyrrus' story is actually based on Act I of Never-Ending Dream. xD Yes, I call the parts "Acts." It feels wrong calling them "Books" since it's not written, but that's basically what each Act is.
