How on earth do you get your dapples to come out that good? Mine always come out looking like appy spots

Thanks. Believe it or not, that was a complete and total experiment, and I didn't expect it to turn out that well. Just a lot of work with a very VERY low opacity brush (something like 5%) and a lot of trial and error.
