WELL.
These are actually a community based critter. I made a world for them, and made a community here on DA, as well as a forum to rp them on and interact and such.
If you were to join and be active we have tooons of opportunities to create your own. I would never make someone pay. xD you would just have to go over the ref and check out the community and see if you were still interested. c:

Yeah. xD the species actually can have any sort of mask, I just wanted the first one, the basice one, to have a basic white mask with eye slots.

Well yes, they are ONLY in the skeletal design. xD
I needed a skeletal structure to support th low arching back with the higher lift in the shoulders, so the ox/boar skeleton refs are what I used to help achieve it. So they aren't really for the design itself, so much as to support the one I had already drawn. xD
Also the back legs are shorter, and shaped differently than deer legs because they are the back legs of a boar.

and I am letting few people design them right now. Mostly if I can chat to them through some sort of messenger to explain everything. xD if you have a messenger, I could tell you more about them and possibly let you make one.

Awesome! Great description, and that is a great explanation on the skeleton. It is always awesome to reference Nature when creating a species, in order to create one that is plausible!

I mean no harm. but I don't know, I disagree a little bit about it. I mean..
people base their works in what they see and what they like. So if you ever tell me that my art looks like someone I admire I would be happy. I didn't mean that you were trying to copy anyones art and I pretty much aprecciate Miazaki's movies so I made a link.

It's cool bro. You just gotta be careful 'cause often when people start comparing stuff like that, it can hurt a person's feelings 'cause, even if they haven't seen the movie or show or whatever their stuff is getting compared to, it can be disheartening to see somebody's thoughts go right to somebody else's work, you know?

Plus then you got other people who might see the comparison and go, "Did this person copy that movie/show/comic/book? HMMM." and that cannot go ANYWHERE good for anybody. xDDD

The deer god in princess mononoke looks more like the deer from endless forest if you ask me. But honestly this looks like many things already out there. Nothing is ever unique. xD
But it's actually pretty rude to compare someones creation to things already out there. I'm not offended, but other people might get angry if you do that.
