Pokemon was originally thought up and created by a guy named Satoshi Tajiri, and supposedly a second guy who's name is pretty much unknown (I don't know it, and I've never seen it mentioned in any disclaimers) and is subsequantly owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and most likely a host of other parties and people who got lucky enough to get a peice of this moneymaking cake.
