Just liek the caption on the pic itself, history does repeat....but not in the order people think.

Naruto-while he was supposed to follow in Jiraya's footsteps, he instead became, in a way, like Tsunade-the Hokage of Konoha (though that was probavly supposed to happen anyway) He, as an adult, is a lont more serious, having suffered through his youth and losing the people [recious to him, also like Tsunade

Sasuke-originally supposed to follow Orochimaru, Sasuke instead becomes like Jiraya-a lone, rogue ninja who lives for himself and onyl for himself. He dug himself into a hole-one he couldn't get out of: even though he eventually DID return to Konoha, people lsot trust in him, Naruto included. And the one person Sasuke knew who would accept him, and the one person he'd been longing to see for so long, is proclaimed dead to the village: Sakura Haruno

Sakura: while she was supposed to become like Tsunade, the death of her father, Orochimaru, caused her to return to Sound Country and become it's new leader. However, that incident also turned her heart stone cold-especioally since it was her childhood love, Sasuke, who killed her father. After attempting revenge against her father's murder, Sakura returns to Sound, growing up as alone and as bitter as Orochimaru himself
