Quick piece I did on the fly, random setting. I asked folks over on the Instagram where they thought the setting was. Most responded Europe. One responded: Athens, with the Acropolis in the BG.
Was an interesting answer, since (as per the last post) one of the background characters was based on a character design I did of Athena some time ago. I guess one theme tends to influence the rest of the pic when it's just sketching without much of a plan.
So, mystery solved from the previous upload.

What a fantastic slice of life image. Love the different expressions, interactions, and body language through the crowd, not to mention how you've created such depth to the picture with a limited palette.

I'll eventually get to doing these crowd scenes on a wider shot; I just end up wanting to do more detail on the characters and that ends up becoming the focus rather than the place. But glad that people seem to like that approach.

Well, I guess in some ways people are what give a place life and vitality, so the detail on them really help set the mood.
