People go on about how they hate Treehugger, but the fact is she is like many of the one hit ponies or background ponies. Β No real story cause they are short lived in the mane story. Β They are a prop to make the story go further. Β I mean all the background ponies are there to fill the space so it is not empty. Β Which you can not have them just standing there all the time blank and useless. Β You have to have them do something. Β

Also, this be my Headcanon:
Fluttershy never married because she and Tree Hugger had a secret thing together, but Fluttershy was too worried about what her new daughter would think of her being into mares instead of stallions, especially those Anthea hooked her up with. Fluttershy would often go on her Nature Society thing trips to see Tree Hugger and update her on how Anthea was doing.
Anthea knew of Tree Hugger, and was babysat by the hippie mare a few times. But she never suspected anything, being too young at the time to understand those kind of relationships. Fluttershy constantly worried that Tree Hugger would want to end their relationship, feeling as if she were stringing the mare along and making her wait on something that might never happen. But Tree Hugger was a patient mare, and knew Fluttershy would come out to Annie when the time was right, and she knew that all the waiting would just make the happiness of being together out in the open all the more blissful.
