I hate those type of fathers or brothers that are over protective.

Eh, there is a limit of course, but I feel it's within good reason that (good) big brothers and fathers be a little over protective of their daughters. They grew up and lived through the locker room smack talk, they know what boys are like, and it's a cause of concern for them especially if their daughter/sister is attractive.
So many scum bags and arse wipes out in the world. Then men wonder why women are so hyper protective and wary. Sad, so very very sad.

Yes I know that they only what to protect us from harm and I really appreciate the fact that they care but there are times when they really cross the line ending up embarrassing us or not letting us experience things that we might really enjoy.
For example I don't even have a boyfriend (yet) but my father already said to me:"Oh I'm so sorry for the poor bastard that will try to date you because I will personally make him suffer."HE SAID THAT IN A SERIOUS WAY!!!Don't get me wrong I really love him but by saying that is like saying:"I don't have faith in you're decisions also I will hurt you're feelings by not approving the thing or persons you love the more.PS I want you to never get married and stay a virgin forever.With love dad 
You see the biggest problem with over protecting persons in general is that they often cross the line end end up hurting you.

Naw I know what you mean.
There is a fine line to walk when it comes to stuff like that, for me I'd likely be extremely wary and protective of my daughter if I were to have one. But I'd still try to recognize that she is her own person too, and no matter what, she'd always be daddy's little girl.
Ultimately, I just hope I can instill some wisdom into her so that I wouldn't feel the need to be so protective of her, and that she can recognize the arse wipes that stalk the streets when she see's one.
