Hey I had two questions about art, and this picture.
1. On a couple of the wolves in this picture, you drew the circle guideline for their head but the actual wolf-head doesn't fit exactly in the circle guide. For example, the sad wolf in the upper-right corner--his actual forehead is much lower than the circle guide. How do you know when to deviate from the circle guide, and in what directions?
2. When drawing wolves and dogs looking around, for example looking up or down, three-quarter view, all directions--how do you know how to keep the muzzle in good perspective? A lot of times I can draw a dog face, but then I don't know which direction to point the muzzle, or at what angle. And how do you know how much foreshortening to use?
I can see you've practiced a lot and have a lot of knowledge, so I hope you don't mind me asking for art advice.

Hi
i don't mind. u can ask everything u want.
1. I use the circle just as a guide to help on the directions and make everything face the same direction. I don't try to fit the face inside the circle.
2.You don't need perspective on the muzzle unless your dog is looking to the screen and is real close to it. There's no perspective on the muzzles i do. I tryed sometimes but it came out weird and i realized it only needs when really close to the screen. The direction of the muzzle, as i said on the other question, goes with the circle and those lines i do to help me on the direction of everything. About the foreshortening, well.. I don't know this word, but i checked on google and looks like it's an effect to give perspective to the pic right ? Perspective in other words ? well.. i only started using perspective last year and i sugest u to practice your pics more before trying something harder like that. But to practice perspective i sugest you to draw buildings or cars. This pic show exactly how u should practice : [link] Aplying it to a pic less regular is hard. that's why i'm telling u to starton the buildings and cars.
That's it I hope u understand what i said cause i'm not veeeeery good at english and sorry for taking 2 days to answer u. Good luck and if there's anything else just ask ^~
