AHH the horse portion is always my fav to draw!

If I had to guess, I'd say 'both'. Whether you want to interpret that as 'redundant' or 'redistributed' is up to you. To me, redundancy doesn't seem to add much benefit, but I suppose the specifics would depend on how/why they were originally created...
