Victoria Zhou was sweeping casually the fallen autumn leaves among the pavement-paved pedestrian roads and dirt-covered alleys between the monuments and graves. She passed the monument of Carlson Mindag; the former drummer of URAGAN, who got decimated during the war in Shekelestan almost a year ago. Though still exclusive-looking and fitting to a person, who had been the band's pulse for so many years, the plexi-glass elements were starting to become opaque from the rain and dust; the only relief was the decent amount of bouquets of flowers that had been placed there by fans of URAGAN. The singer of the band wiped away some of the dirt with a cloth, then looked around and reached for a cigarette. Though it was not outlawed to smoke while tending the cemetery, the older bosses still looked at anyone who did with contempt, accusing anyone who they managed to catch in the act of "turning the entire place in a ash repository, should those 'pacifiers of this weak-ass generation' fall in a heap of dry leaves somewhere"... Victoria frowned a bit, then waved with her hand in a 'ah, forget it' gesture, then stood straight in front of a nearby CCTV camera, and demonstratively lit up her cigarette, then went back to pushing her wheelbarrow of leaves further down the road.

The singer had just turned the corner, when she almost tipped over an elderly-looking figure with a broom. Victoria managed to avoid the crash, but silently chuckled to herself:

"Well, there goes my employment for a while... Ey, gran'ma, you okay?"

To her surprise, a young ozcura turned around, and looked to the rock star with wide, somewhat scared and sad eyes:

"Oh... H-hi, I just started working here, and..."

"No prob, girl. Trouble finding a job as well?"

The ozcura looked down in a guilty way:

"Y-yes..."

The leader of URAGAN was just smoking casually, thinking about what advice to give. Since she herself was in the same exact boat as the worried ozcura, Victoria doubted she could say anything to turn the gray-skinned orc girl's life around. The ozcura, however, pointed out:

"Y-you are smoking! It's forbidden here!... I think?"

A bit startled, but mostly unmoved by this remark, Victoria looked over her shoulder and smirked, cigarette still in mouth:

"A lot of the babushkas here puff away like steam engines themselves; no one's gonna mind a brat barely dragging a string."

"R-right."

"So, you... er... Got a name?"

The ozcura looked away shyly:

"Sakitina Yolcheva. My friends call me 'Sachie'..."

Victoria Zhou nodded, and let a longer trail of smoke through her nose:

"'Kay, Sachie - so, what brings you here? Like, for real, this time?"

"I... needed some money..."

"There's more ways to get money than doing this, though."

The ozcura got red in the face, and swung the broom at Victoria:

"H...How dare you! I'm not going to sell my body, much less lease it, and..."

The singer dodged the clumsy swings of the ozcura, grabbed the broom, and dragged Sachie closer to her face. The ozcura whimpered:

"P...please, be gentle..."

"Not prostitution, student girl - I'm talking rock."

"Rock?"

"Rock."

"As in, rock music?"

"Mm-hm."

Sachie closed her eyes, trying not to cry, and Victoria gave an awkward hug to the ozcura:

"C'mere, you big baby - what you're blubbering about now?"

"T...There are no four-eyed freaks like me in the rock industry! I..."

Victoria's palm landed on Sachie's head - suddenly, but no painfully. The ozcura looked up, and saw the calm smile of URAGAN's leader:

"Become one, then. That's what rock is about, girl - to not care what others think of you, and feeling free in your own way."

"But... I can't play the guitar!"

Victoria rolled her eyes - jeez, this crybaby is tough, she thought. Her cigarette had almost burnt out, so the singer threw it nonchalantly into the wheelbarrow with the leaves:

"Well, what can you play? Drums? The triangle? A kazoo?"

Sachie wiped her eyes:

"M-my parents make me play just the flute..."

"Seems like an instrument to me."

"But!"

"Yeah, you've got a nice one; all you need to do, is to show it. Flute is rock; that potato sack you're wearing now, isn't. Ah, thehellwithit - let's visit Ugolchik after work today, 'kay? My treat."

"Thanks, but I-"

"You...?"

"I - I think I smell smoke."

"Sure, you do. I have one left, want it?"

"No, like something's burning!"

Victoria raised an eyebrow:

"What you're talk-aw, crap..."

As the contents of the metal wheelbarrow next to Victoria were now going up in flames, Sachie felt terrified, but the singer of URAGAN chuckled:

"Huh, looks like those 'Don't smoke in the forest' advertisements on TV were right, after all."

"B-but this is not fine! Holy crap, what are going to do? We're so getting fired, oh God, oh God... How we will repay for the wheelbarrow?"

Just before the ozcura girl started hyperventilating, Victoria placed her palm on Sachie's head in a reassuring manner again:

"Hush, girl - I've got an idea."
