I think that FF9 has probably the best story, the most beautiful world, and even without its recent HD rerelease still looks amazing. The funny thing is that I really wanted to like FF7. I was a late bloomer coming to the series and all I knew about FF7 was that it was suppossedly THE BEST! So when I got a used copy and started it I fell in love with it immediately. I loved the music, the characters, the graphics.... And also it was the first disk of FF9...
SO when I finally got FF7 For real I was ready for it to be INCREDIBLE aaaaand it wasn't.
An FF9/Ladybug Crossover would be amazing to read honestly!

I played 7 after 9 and I honestly never found the storyline and characters interesting, but I also tried hard to like it, I really did, I even did all the game's sidequests (yeah even the golden chocobo one lol) but I still didn't like it and it's not even because of the graphics because I love 4, 5 and 6 I think it's just boring lol.
ikr? Zidane really fits Adrien/Chat Noir, because he also has a serious side x3 and Garnet always doubts herself but has to fulfill her role as a queen for her people's sake, so she reminds me of Marinette too

You did way better than I did then. I've tried to play through FF7 about 4 or 5 times and after I get out of midgar I lose all interest. I've never beat the game and I'm not actually sure how far I've actually gotten through the game. I remember bits and pieces but it just left so little impression on me... except Cait Sith. I liked Cait Sith. I've been told if I wanted 'Whimsy' then I must not have gotten to the amusement park... but I remember going there, and racing chocobos, and RAISING Chocobos! and riding a Dolphin up a tower or some shit. And Barret in a little Sailor suit somewhere. That's all I really remember...
To be honest you could basically just switch out the sets of characters there and they're basically the same, probably because those two character types go pretty well together in stories. Also Adriens Gorilla bodyguard would be Steiner.

It's such a boring game, I just don't see the appeal. I really tried to like it, I mean I've also seen both versions of the movie, the OVAs, I read the novels, but it's not the masterpiece everyone says it is. I only like Tifa, Zack and Yuffie and I loathe Cloud xD

I think Cloud was actually okay for the first few hours of the game! Even if he was a stick in the mud sometimes he had a few funny moments like EVERYTHING involved in him getting his cross-dressing outfit! It's literally everything after the sense of humor leaves (Which is about 50% of the way through disk 1) and ALLLL the supplementary material like his appearance in kingdom hearts and the movie and the MILLION other FF7 spinoffs that portray him as a very emo character that really killed him as a main character!
I could play the FF9 chocobo minigame for HOURS on end. It's addictingly fun, forget other silly Final fantasy phone games, I just want to play chocobo treasure hunt on my phone!
(An FF9XLadybug scene I would love to see recreated is the one outside of that Dwarf place (goblin??? the Rally-ho guys) where Zidane is hitting on Garnet but she sorta walks away and when he turns he's just talking to Vivi and stops to go ".... huh. Maybe I'm trying too hard?")

EXCEPT FF9's card game. The rules are so confusing and even when I think I understand them they bring HEXADECIMALS into it and make it impossible for me. The rules to that minigame are basically "Here's its attack power, this letter determine what kind of attack it does, these numbers are it's defense, bigger number wins. Except when it doesn't. Sometime smaller number wins for no reason. AKA Cheating." Other than THAT minigame FF9's were the best. Really? I liked FFX's minigames... but then again it's been 10 years since I played FFX... I might not remember them well...
Someone needs to atleast re-write all of Conde Petie as Ladybug AU. AT MINIMUM the wedding scene.

Haha FFIX Tetra Master game is so random but I love it xD, the only thing that pisses me off about FFIX is that awful jumping the rope minigame xD and I hate it that you get two achievements by playing it on the Steam version.
I love FFX but that choboco race, lightning dodging and butterfly catching were terrible minigames.

I don't know why anyone WOULD like the emo characters??? I mean, every now and then okay, I like Variety. The ones I don't like makes me appreciate the ones I do more, But there is JUST TOO MUCH CLOUD going around. And then FF13 lost me at "We wanted to make a cool female character... Like a female Cloud" Right there! You lost my money right there Square! Squall wears the Emo waaay better than Cloud does though. Not sure why, maybe because Squall isn't being CONSTANTLY shoved down our throats? Or because him being 'Team Mom' in Dissidia to Bartz and Zidane makes him less emo feeling?

OMG that rant cracked me up xD It's so true! You are so right about Cloud and Square Enix relying on him very single time is annoying af. How many times his fight with Sephiroth has been recreated? They keep raping them, over and over.
I also don't like Squall, but I agree, we don't see him EVERYWHERE, so he is not that annoying.
Haha, Final Fantasy XIII is a guilty pleasure of mine (same with X-2 LOL), but Lightning is so meh. I've heard they wanted to make Vanille the protagonist at first, but they had to scrapped it, because they had already featured Lightning on the teasers. Having her as a main character instead would have made more sense to me. And I try to forget XIII-2 and Lightning Returns exist...

Honestly if not for whay a lot of the extended material/sequels/movies/blah blah blah did to protray Cloud as emo mc emoson, He could have been an 'Okay protagonist in a game I just didn't really like much" instead of "Oh look... Cloud won the smash ballot (Suppossedly) and now he's in smash. Not like they couldn't have put literally any other FF7 character in there that was more deserving than cloud. Literally any other Final Fantasy character deserved to be in Smash more than cloud did, he just go it because FF7 has a remake coming up and Smash bros is not a game, it is a commercial for new and upcomming games." all I want for Kingdom hearts 3 is literally ANY FF9 or FF5 OR AANY pre FF7 characters. I feel bad saying this but I have never played FF13 and yet don't like it. I can't bring myself to. I don't like Lightning because she is easily just Square trying to catch Lightning (hehe) in a bottle and market her as Cloud again. I've watched lets plays of it though and still go "Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" I really like X-2 though! I know a lot of people didn't but I sure did. I liked seeing Yuna experimentally grow, I DO wish the game had put a little more focus on how the whole Yevon bullshit and lying religion and how all that transpired in FFX effected the world itself. I think they did a lot with it , I just wish they did more with it. And all I know about the ff13 sequels is "Oh Lightnings sister is dead and god will bring her back if you save the world but you can't put on your big girl panties and do it unless god takes away your emotions so you can be MORE EMO? GOnna out emo Cloud honey? Mind you I am just going off of someone who tried to explain the game to to me, I know nothing of the sequels :/

Cloud's pretty bland in the original game, he really didn't have a personality at all, but no matter what they do to him I feel like I will never be able to like him; and you're right about his apperance in Smash. I thought it was just a marketing stunt to get even more attention to the upcoming remake, I would have preferred seeing any other FF character there and even other actual Nintendo character but oh well, I am kinda used to the shameless raping of FFVII by this point.
After Nomura re-designed Zidane for Dissidia I was really hoping to see him in one of the KH games, and my hope hasn't died yet, but I still think it's pretty unlikely :/
I really like XIII but I repeat it's more a guilty pleasure of mine xD I couldn't bring myself to play the awful sequels though, they make 0 sense, I really hated what they did to the characters and the setting, I think the only good thing about that mess was Noel xD but I still could have lived without him.
I really, really dislike Yuna (even more after reading the summary of that piece of shit novella and let's not mention the audio drama...) but X-2 is such a big guilty pleasure of mine that I didn't play the original, my first playthrough was the International + Last Mission version, and I'm not talking about the HD Remaster, I played and finished (With all dresspheres and beat the Via Infinito) the full Japanese game lol and I don't know the language haha, I like X-2 THAT much x3

He's bland in the original game, yes, but he had a few moments... mostly all before midgars plate crushing thing. I am of course talking about the cross dressing~ Anything after that he is pointless and mostly ungrowing as a character.
What makes Zidane an unlikely KH character I think is that if you look at the Final fantasy characters that have appeared in kingdom hearts so far, they are all almost EXCLUSIVELY games that Nomura worked on and Vivi because he's a mega fan favorite. Maybe with the HD remaster of ff9 they'll go "Oh yeah people like this game don't they? Let's throw them in KH 3" If it were up to me I'd make a cutscene that can only trigger after a certain stage in the game where you got to Radiant Gardens and
Sora's just walking around
*Fast paced foot steps get louder*
*Zidane bumps into Sora harshly*
Sora: "HEY! You should Apologize when you knock someone over" *Summons his key blade but it's not any of the keyblades he's gotten so far* "What?!"
*Zidane grins and does a couple of flips up onto a roof*
Zidane: "Soooo Sorry!" *Jingles a handful of Sora's Keychains* "Whelp, I gotta go!" *Starts running across the rooftops.
*Sora starts chasing after him from the ground* *Hearltess start swarming the streets* *Sora has to fight his way through the hordes while keeping up with the thief on the roof*
*Screen fades* *Mission objective: Defeat the Heartless and catch the thief* *Game play commences*
After fighting his way to a plaza a new cutscene plays.
*Sora is a little overwhelmed by the number of heartless and this weird keyblade he's forced to use*
*Zidane, still on the roof, stops running and looks down in the plaza.*
*Zidane looks to the wad of keychains, then back to Sora and the gang in the plaza*
*Zidane gives himself a little nod* cut back to Sora in the plaza.
*Sora is kinda tired from the endurance round he just faced and still more heartless and even more coming.*
*A treasure box falls from the sky and explodes dropping health balls everywhere for Sora*
*Sora is revitalized and looks up to the roof*
Zidane: "Come on! You're not fighting alone!" *sora gets his second wind* Gameplay returns. Not beat all the Heartless in the plaza while Zidane is dropping his Theivery boxes from the roof tops that either go BOOM or drop health until there are no heartless left.
Cutscene:
*Sora clears the plaza and looks up to where Zidane was only to barley get a glimpse of him running away again.*
Sora: "HEY! GET BACK HERE WE JUST HAD A FRIENDSHIP MOMENT!" "GIVE ME BACK THE KEYCHAINS!"
*Sora gives chase but there's nowhere to go from the Plaza so he gives up.*
Sora: "What's his problem?!"
When Sora goes back to the HQ where the other FF characters hang out Zidane is there too getting Chewed out by Squall about stealing, while Zidane defends that any of them could be the other 3 stones their looking for and they have to find them before he (Optional boss Kuja) finds them or he'll make a mega weapon (Alexander) out of it. Garnets there too and explains that none of the Keychains he took are part of her Necklace and that he shouldn't have taken them and he is made to give them back to Sora. Sora takes getting robbed well because Zidane did come back to help so he can tell the tailed blonde is a good guy deep down. They give each other a goofy grin and a bro handshake and Sora promises to keep an eye out for Alexander's pieces. The scene goes black and the "New keyblade" screen pops up revealing that the keyblade Sora has been forced to use this whole time is the "I want to be your Canary" and makes money drop more often.
Something like that....
For me FF13 is sorta dissapointing but playable so a solid 6/10 but Lightning kills it for me. Any of it's sequels just ruin what little was there for me to begin with. I'm a very "If you can do it well then SURE make a sequel" but the ff13 ones just feel like they made 'new cloud' AND BY GOD THEY ARE GOING TO USE HER!
Fuck the Novella and the Audio drama for ffX-onward. I think Yuna is an okay character but I do hate what those "After X2" things did to the FFx universe as a whole! I like X, X2 and 90% of it's characters but seriously....
FFXV.. Disappointments me for what it was originally planned to be (FF13 vs). That was the first ff game I had been excited for since 12... which i didn't really like, and could have been so good, and then nomura left the project to focus on things like KH3 and the FF7 remake and the new guy said "Hey all that stuff you liked? Gonna remove it." And made it a game about driving in a car with a bunch of your guy friends (Because according to the new guy Men don't act chill and normal when girls are around) and the female character was downgraded to basically a Yuna or Garnet if she had no heart and soul outside of tropes added to her and only gets about 6 minutes of total screen time before she dies just so the main character can have her weapon and motive to save the day... which would have been "mmeeeehhhh....fiiine.....i guess" if not for the new guy saying "Oh yeah that girl from FF13VS that was a cool strong character that we replaced with this new generic version? Don't worry! Luna is a very important strong female character and is extremely important to the plot and a good role model for girls everywhere!" I could take a meh game if not for the Lyyying.... and the product placement really ruins the fantasy setting for me. I come to final fantasy for repetitive game play, high fantasy worlds, and melodramatic plots and love stories! NOT COLEMAN STOVES AND AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS. Sorry There's just so much that makes me sad that something I was super super excited for had everything I was excited for stripped away and a lot of things I hate put in it's place :_(

Cloud is the most meh character from VII, but he is still better in the game than in the Compilation imo though(Except Tifa's novel).

Funny thing is the US version made Lightning more unlikable, because they made her super stoic to be a "badass" when in the Japanese version she starts smiling by chapter 3 and continues to do it for the rest of the game, so I am glad I can finally be able to see that by playing the Steam version of XIII with the Japanese voices.
I thought Yuna was boring af, but after reading all that I started to really hate her. It all began with the cutscene from Last Mission floor 40. And the expanded universe material is not necessary at all, I am glad the novella is not that well known and also that the Japanese fans hated it too.
I don't really praise Nomura that much, he is a cool designer and all but I like Yoshinori Kitase better as a director, I think FFXV would have been better with him directing it, but they chose the guy who directed the 3rd Birthday ugh, I hate that game lol it killed the Parasite Eve franchise. I've heard he did a great job with Type-0 though and that one at least didn't forget about the XIII lore like XV, but honestly I never really cared that much about XV, even when it was Versus XIII, it looked too emo and "edgy" to me. But I am still sad it's a mess of a game, all those glitches and the story being told in extra content and dlc lol not my cup of tea xD
