Yeah it is fun. MK9 is pretty good too. I actually generally like MK9 more than MKX. Although, Mileena looks much nicer in MKX
I missed out on all the PS2 era titles :S I hope they do a HD collection of them at some point

I think Armageddon was my favourite game in the PS2 era series, purely for the fact you could create your own character
