Description Okay, people! I am showing you something I was reluctant to post.

When I saw The Fellowship of the Ring for the first time, several years ago, I immediately fell in love with the cute little hobbits, and begged my dad to let me read his beloved triology of books.

Then, I started to draw them, and added them as recurring characters in my stories.

The one on the left is an image of how I used to draw them. Frodo and Sam, in January 2005 and on the right, January 2010. this is living proof that anyone can draw!

Kinda funny how people and even me thought that they were cute and good how I used to draw them. The '05 one is actually the most up to date version of the original version of hobbits I would draw. The first few that I did, their eyes were even BIGGER than that! Ha ha!

I've drawn them in several different style after that, including attempting to do it in manga, but I failed horribly at that. I settled with my own style, which is this one, on the right. And they look a heckova lot cuter there!

You know it figues you would claim not to be able to draw humans when you can draw hobbits perfectly...seriously how much difference do hairy feet pointy ears and a few missing inches make? You've made huge improvements though...I still remember that picture of I think it was Merry and Pippin stealing carrots!

I'm not sure, really. I guess I just made the hobbits more cartoony or sometihng. I drew humans back then too, but they were totally weird looking. They didn't have any nose or ears! xD

Aw, thanks, Girl Hee hee! Yep, that one is still in my gallery! I seperated all of my art into sections on the left side of the screen, which makes it SUPER easy to go through sections of either Danny Phantom, Sonic, Chipmunks or anything else. I had wanted at one point to color that Merry and Pippin one, but I never got around to doing it. XD

Oh my, these are quite fantastic! It's always neat to see a progression in artistic abilities, though it looks as though you started off with quite a bit of talent from the get-go even before refining your style.

If I might ask, how older were you in 2005, and how old are you now?

^^ thank you. I've actually been drawing for as long as I could remember, and that early picture of the hobbits is actually the best looking one from that time. Their eyes were acutally a whole heckova bigger than that before! XD

I will be 21 in July, so I was about 15-16 then.

I LOVE seeing these! 8D You're right. Anyone can really draw. It just takes A LOT of time practice and dedication. Like any skill. It requires work, and this is proof that you can go far. You can see SO much progress. I mean, where to begin!? 8O. Absolutely wonderful work and your art just keeps getting better with each submission. 8)

I like to show people that it is possible for everyone to pick up a pencil and draw sometihng. Once upon a time, I drew a stick man, and it morphed into a cartoon. You just need patience and practice... lots of practice. XD

Hm. That's actually a good questions. For cartoon animals, I eventually got it pretty fast, considering I drew those a lot more often than humans. But as for my own style in drawing humans or hobbits, it took me... from the beginning right on to November 2008, believe it or not. About two years ago is when I started finding my own style. It took me a SERIOUSLY long time! The first human I ever drew was a human version of REmy the Rat and then a drawing I did of Linguini.
