In my KICS series the Chipmunks are obviously going to be replaced considering they're not my characters. AJ, David, Claire and Tilley are mine though, so they'll just change species XD I may post them eventually.

Spike knew of a prophecy that was said three guardians would come to aid in the future when the Apocalypse arrived (that's more about KICS that I am not willing to go into details). Alvin, at age 11, accidentally opened a Time Portal that sent him and his brother in the future and that's where they met Spike (I won't say how far cuz again, that's more complications). Spike sense something about them and eventually discovers that they've got hidden gifts, and sets forth to train them. Alvin was the last to discover his, considering his stubbornness, as well as his gift just happened to be the strongest and hardest to unlock.

Guardian of Strength: Alvin's gift is Inner Strength. While he can on occasions lift heavy objects, punch through walls and create vibrations in the ground, that's not the main focus of his gift. Inner Strength symbolizes support. Alvin, despite being the troublemaker, was the strength of the Chipmunks, and he held his brothers together in more ways than one. They continuously followed him on adventures despite knowing they'd get into trouble, and he stood up for them if they were in need of it. His main abilities are transferring physical strength to either of his brothers, as well as creating forcefields of various types. To make his shields stronger, the boys often dance and sing in order to fuel Alvin's gift. His arms light up when he's using it, which also tends to make him a good night light, hehe XD Of course, he can overuse his gift, which will eventually tire him until he blacks out.

Guardian of Knowledge: Simon's gift of telekinesis allows him to makes anything and anyone float in midair when needed. He can also levitate, and after years of practice and training with Spike, he learned how to levitate long enough and high enough to actually fly. He's often sought out by his brothers for, of course, his knowledge on Earth and Marya. Unfortunately, like Alvin, he tends to allow his emotions to control his powers, which can be catastrophic on occasion. He is also the most vulnerable to psychic attacks unless Alvin can protect him.

Guardian of Life: Tender hearted and always caring for the world and the people around him, Theodore's gift is Earth. He, unlike his brothers, has mastered the ability to control his powers and not let his emotions get the better of him. He eventually acquires knowledge on various herbs which often come in handy when his brothers or nephews and niece fall ill. He was the easiest for Spike to train, and admired Spike so much that he learned from the porcupine exactly how to be the one in charge when his brothers got into "cat fight" mode. He can use any type of natural solid element that comes from the ground to his advantage, and has been able to create earthquakes now and again (of course, he strays away from doing it too often, never wanting to result to violence to solve problems).

When they use their gifts to the max, they can create a light bond between each other and can perform acts that can only be done when they connect. It's in this instant that their eyes glow. But they use this sparingly because it drains them of strength faster than if they simply fought with their own gifts.

Their kids know they've got powers. They enjoy seeing Alvin and Simon bicker just because it amuses them when their emotions cause the house to shake or the furniture to rise. XD
