PAGE ONE: [link]Think I'm gonna start making a folder for Lorax stuff.
Comic cover for Truffula Trove. Not my best work, and Ted's scooter... gah, it makes me cry, it's all yuck XD
This thing is... well, was, before being slightly compressed... about 50 MBs. PS starting to skip and lag at about 30-40 megs. woot woot! By that time, I could not go on the internet without it being dumb. I was gonna put something up in the air, but It got too busy.
Okeh... hopefully I can start posting this soon.

Unfortunately, School and a freelance job for Disney has unfortunately taken up my spare time and I most likely will have to cancel the comic. Since I will only have free time to work on it during summer, it will take me ages to complete it.

I'm just curious, did you had a story board and already planned the rest of the story or did you draw the story gradually? I'm just a little bit irresistibly curious of what was up to happen if you had continued the comic. ^_^

I do have the entire thing recorded by microphone, and I have most of the dialogue written out as well. I also have a map and chapter summaries.

You know, this is actually a pretty big commitment, which I praise you for that. You have a very spunky style when it comes to drawing characters and I'm glad you chose to work on this movie.

Aw. Looking forward to seeing a young-again Onceler.
I'm actually not a big fan of the movie. ... Okay, I was dragged to it, and we drove to the theater too fast for jumping out of the car to be safe. It was all right, but not great or anything I'd go out of my way to see.
That said, the Onceler saddened me. Once I stopped beating myself up wondering why he never planted the tree himself (seriously-/why/?!), I kept thinking it was really, really sad that redemption had come so late for him. The hug at the end was pretty cute, and I liked how part of the shot only showed Onceler from the back, making it look exactly how it would've if reconciliation had happened while he was still young. But it's still bittersweet, with him having been alone and guilty for so long.
... And ignorant of the fact he could've grown two forests by the time he actually gave the kid the seed...
That aside, I'm huge sucker for redeemed characters. They're my soft spot- I have much love for second chances. So I'll be looking out for this comic, because it looks like that's coming, seems like you've already thought out an interesting plot, and also, the art's not half bad. ^^ Good job on staying true to color.
Basically, this is my rambly way of saying that I can't wait to see this plot kick into gear. Especially with younger Onceler! So... Thanks for making a comic that interests me more than the actual film? XD

Nah, they're not badly drawn; they just hide very well. They're not obnoxiously yellow like many I've seen people drive about. I like the subtle effect of their presence, though. They're not glaring, and that in itself probably makes their existence all the more provoking.
