Description here's the painted version of a drawing i submitted a while back. my original intentions were to get the painting finished within like a week, i attempted to do this solely in painter, as a way to learn the program. i just couldn't get it right and eventually stopped tinkering with it... until a few days ago, when i got it out and started tinkering with photoshop... mmmmm.... photoshop.... anyway, i could have noodled it a bit more, but i like it where it's at, and have new paintings to start. enjoy.

I still prefer the original. The eyes here look less intelligent. Also, his face is less detailed.

This is one of my favourite DA images, I've even printed it out and put it up on my wall. Excellent work.

lol. too funny.

I really like the variety of colors in the arms of the...creature(?), and I wish that was spread out through other areas. Nevertheless, excellent job.

go for it man, just put in the time. i've come a long way in what i'd consider a short time and i've got way longer to go. i used to do nothing but photomanip stuff, but it just got me nowhere. i got so bored with it, it's way too limiting... thanks for the comment!

thanks! painter is pretty cool, but i'm so used to photoshop it's hard to not go back to it. photoshop is like second nature, i almost just will the program to do what i want and it reacts... well, not really, but i know the program pretty well.
