umm with photoshop most people us a mask to cut the image out but i prefer to use the polygonal lasso tool and trace around the image with that.

I think it really takes time, a lot of practice, and a lot of patience too to master that tool..especially the pen tool in tracing images
one more thing can you share some useful sites in photoshop and can you tell me
how did you come up with that icon ^_^. Thanks again..

no probs mate, it does take alot of time and pratice. iv been using photoshop for almost two years now. and the pen tool's awesome when u know how 2 use it.

and the icon, i have no idea how i made that it was soo long ago. think i just played around with the adjustments in photoshop. changed the lighting, shadow, contrast etc. hope that helps
