I DID NOT DRAW PURPLE. BAST DID. THIS IS A COLLABORATION. u.u; Therefore, any and all comments regarding how sexyawesome this style of drawing Irkens is should be directed to Bast. For she drew Purple, and I just did the coloring and the background.

Oh man though. I've been working on this since...Sunday, I think. And talking about it constantly with my PG homies, so I hope that after all that buildup it's as cool as what I was acting like it would be. XD;

ANYWAY STORY BEHIND THE PIC (IN SHORT FORM). Recently in one of the group's RPs, the Tallest had to take the Armada for some negotiations on an energy contract with a foreign planet called Zarin (would you believe the Zarini are batlike thingies? =B). Zarin's new premier apparently had a brilliant idea to ambush and assassinate said Tallest during the meeting. Red got shot in the arm (where it joins, like through tendons, rather nasty) before anyone could react, so for the space-based part of the battle Purple was on his own. For really the first time ever. And out of my two, it's usually Red who runs the show when it comes to military tactics. So this was an Event. They won, by the way. Of course. Nothing can stand before the Armada.

So anyway, when Bast drew Purple in this style she was trying out, she asked me to color it like a scene from that little RP plot. Thus, I did. Or did my best, anyway. 9.9; There should be more ships outside. But I tried it with more and it looked cluttered so I removed most of them. I think it looks aight. Everything in the background was drawn on the computer with the pen tool and mouse. The Irken ships are, obviously, based off real Irken ships you can see in screenshots, but I did totally draw and color them myself. The Zarini ships (the gold ones) I also designed based off the popular buglike model, and the big one (for the PGS: that's one of the big General's Ships) is sort of vaguely modeled on the Hydra from "Skies of Arcadia." It looks pretty gigantic off in the distance, but the Massive is still about ten times its size. XD; Whee.

Please please comment if you like this one. 6.6 Obviously I'm not gonna mind too too much if you don't, but there's a lot of detail here, and Bast did such a good job on Pur, that SHE at least deserves some nice comments for letting me color him. Thank ya'll, and enjoy!
