I've been on deviantart for 12 years now... believe it or not... and before I take anything for granted, I will say that I have definitely improved a lot since back then. It is not as much improvement as I would like in the last few years, but nevertheless, still, I'm happy to have gotten to where I am. But I have to say... I find that as I journey to improve my technical skills at art... a lot of my drawings have lost a lot of the heart that my old ones used to have.
They lack the feeling I used to feel from them... and I feel like that's really sad... especially when I chose my username, kidoairaku, literally for the meaning of 'emotions' because that's what I wanted my art to be about. I wanted viewers to feel something when they looked at my art and I think I've really failed at that as of late. Nevertheless... time will continue to move forward mercilessly, but I can not get stuck in place regretting what has not been achieved. I can only see what I can change and continue moving forward.

So... here I am making a renewed vow to not only improve my skills as an artist, but also to remember the heart of my art.
