Name: Kidami Akuten
Age: 20
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 110 lbs
Likes: rain, tea time, performing taiko, and playing the fue
Dislikes: hospitals, bandits, slavers, selfish aristocrats, unrighteousness
Weapon: anything she can get a hold of really... usually uses her own parasol (which is metal), fue, or bachi sticks

Background:
Kidami lost her parents to disease at a young age and during the chaos and confusion of the times, was left to wander and survive on her own. She was kidnapped by slavers, who brought her to the black market to be sold off. Luckily, she was bought/saved by the master of a well-known taiko group and raised as a disciple. Because of the intense training involved in taiko, Kidami has extraordinary stamina, strength, and is quite nimble.
On their travels, one day, a group of bandits attacked their caravan. Many were killed or left for dead. Kidami was slashed on her back when protecting her master, leaving a gigantic scar across her shoulders... but luckily, she survived, along with a few other members of the group. They sought help from everyone, but no one gave them a second glance....
Even though some survived, they were never the same again, having lost so many of their friends and family. The master of the group stopped being his genial, open self and withdrew into himself, leaving almost a shell of the person he once was, behind.
As soon as she healed, Kidami took it upon herself to take care of the man she once held as a father figure and began to perform all around, traveling from festival to festival to earn money. She never embarked on a path of revenge against those bandits or whatnot... but on occasion, the flames of rage and despair flare up... and she never forgot the markings on the face of the leader of the bandits. One day Kidami found out about the Samurai Duelers League and she figured she'd enter for the money... but also what better way is there to find out about those bandits than a league of fighters?

Kidami managed to stumble her way into the championships with the first round against Ran Hasegawa [link]
Kidami lost, but a strong friendship has been forged, and she still hangs around supporting Ran as he prepares to face the final round!!

TenRyuuShoBatsu
After visiting a certain restaurant, Kidami meets Ryuuen, the leader of TenRyuu, but is soon caught in a fight with mysterious assassins. The two fare well against the barrage of enemies, but at the last moments of the fight, Kidami gets severely injured. Ryuuen brings her back to his estate to heal, but in that time, her taiko troop had went on to the next city. Without a place to go, Kidami accepts the offer to join TenRyuu.

Personality:
Kidami is a pretty mellow person; calm, and gentle... unless it comes to performances, money, and friends. She also really has a thing against bandits/slavers/mercenary types who do anything for money (despite her own money-lust). Luckily, she still retains her righteousness and her love for performance still shines as Kidami becomes more "alive" during performances, showing the most vibrant of emotions during that time. She's also very resourceful, which shows through in her fighting methods. Though she's capable of full on attacks, being small, she generally fights by using the opponent's strength against themselves.
