Description
Random spriting animation of a possible convo between Zero and X during the Elf Wars. The Cyber Elf is a random elf--since it's the ELF Wars, I figured both sides would use Elves.Photoshop doesn't have the best timing tool for animations, so excuse the choppy movements lol
Dialogue, in case if goes too fast:
X: (as he walks in) Sulking won't get you anywhere.
Zero: (looks over his shoulder) Who's sulking?
X: You.
Zero: Ha. I'm being introspective.
X: About what?
Zero: The war. Dark Elf. Omega.
X: . . . What about Omega?
Zero: The usual.
X: (kneels down so he's eye-level with Zero) Don't think about all that, Zero. You chose your lot in life.
(Zero and X stand up; Zero turns to X)
Zero: Yeah, I know. I guess I'm just ready for closure.
I'm ready to destroy the part of me I won't ever be.
X: (closes his eyes) I'm glad to hear it.
Zero: (places his hand on his hip) Doesn't it bother you that a part of me has ripped the world apart?
X: (crosses his arms) You're not Omega and Omega isn't you. When are you going to get that?
Zero: I presume eventually...
X: (drops his arms) Get some rest, Zero.
(X walks away; Zero drops his arm and closes his eyes)
Zero: Now who's sulking...
(Zero turns to face the horizon, the elf flies near his head)
Zero: What do you think, elf?
(Silence; fade out)

Zero seems a little blue, although I know that's just the lighting...

Yeah, I had a dark blue overlay over his sprites so he looked properly 'shrouded.' Probably should have edited it a bit more since the Elf would have been shedding light, but it totally skipped my mind XD

The only thing to improve this I think is to have the dialogue stay up a little longer; just slightly too fast. But I really like this 
I haven't tried out photoshop's animation, but since you said its choppy I might as well ask how many frames you use a second? (If you're even aware of that, that is xD) since you should at least be using 12 frames for each second of animation. Professionally you're meant to use 24 frames per second (25 in the US I think, or was it 30...I can't remember xD) But for spriting and any non-professional animating 12 frames a second is usually enough.

The dialogue would probably stay up longer but since I had that little Elf flitting around and each frame encloses all layers, if I stall a frame it stalls the animation. It's hard to explain lol
Uhm~ with photoshop, typically each frame is about 0.2 seconds each, and if I have dialogue without other parts moving, I stall the frame for about a second or so. If there's a moving component (like the Elf) during speech, each frame is either 0.2 or 0.3 with the dialogue layer up for about ~7+ frames. I might try that 12 frames per second rule, see if that helps XD. Thank you for that tidbit, Sana~

I might, these are fun to pass the time lol the text is a pain though, since no typed text comes out clearly, so I end up copying and pasting from the alphabet ripped from the game itself. x.x As for this, it's sort of a stand-alone sort of scene, really XD
