let me clear my throat....

ahem.
those of you who know me know how much i hate the amount of cat photos on dA. cats are ok. people submitting snapshots of their moggys with full-on flash and/or no regard in the slightest for aesthetics and calling it an artistic shot can fuck off and die.
photography is about an experience. if you're not experiencing anything or learning while you are doing it, why the fuck are you doing it?
it was damn early in the morning when i took this. few of the towns 2000-odd inhabitants were about. this cat was catching some early morning warm-up rays in the square. he didnt wake up until i had taken a few shots, but when he did, he seemed pleased for the company. scruffy cat though.

see, i'll understand if you consider me a hypocrite to submit this shot, but i didnt just point a camera at the nearest cat i came to. i'd like to think i took this shot with aesthetics (and capturing the feeling i felt at that point in time) in mind. and i've waited a good while to think about whether i think this is a cool enough shot to submit. i think it is. tell me if you think otherwise.
