SOULDROIDS

Souldroids are sentient humanoid machines that bear a soul and can feel all the emotions any human being can, such as joy, sadness and anger.

The Soul itself comes from White Crystals, strange rocks mined from the ground in almost completely random places, no studies were able to confirm how or where these crystals come to be, some even speculate they came from the heavens, they all carry one sentient force.

The Souldroid requires three things: A humanoid body, a alectronic brain, and a White Crystal with a soul attatched to it, it is evident that in order for the soul to fully integrate itself in the being, the body must have a human-like shape, not only that, but a electronic brain is necessary to handle physical sensations and optimal memory storage, almost like a human brain, and last but not least: A White Crystal carrying the soul.

During the first stages of it's life, the Souldroid acts very silent and at a near catatonic state, and much like a child, has to learn from watching the world around it, weeks after it's infancy, the Souldroid will develop it's personality based on it's likes and dislikes, and those around them, they often reach mental maturity at about 3 months old, much quicker than any human child.

During it's life, the Souldroid requires extensive maintenance, and much like human beings, periods of sleep, not to rest their bodies necessarily, but to maintain their mental health, although charging the body's functons is preferable during this state, if the body runs out of energy, the Souldroid won't die, it'll just enter into a coma and will awake upon being fully recharged.

In order to die, a Souldroid must have their white crystal shattered, if not, they can be rebuilt as many times as necessary.
